In March of 2005, the federal government instituted new rules for labor certification for foreign employees seeking to work in the United States. Ms. Patel is knowledgeable about the confusing and complicated PERM process, and she will walk clients through it step by step.
Overseas Consular Processing
In addition to satisfying the USCIS, immigrant and non-immigrant visas require approval from the embassy or consulate in the applicant’s home country. We assist clients in dealing with consular processing, including affidavits of support and all other required documentation.
Naturalization and Citizenship
Ms. Patel can assist clients through the process of becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen, advising clients about residency requirements, the citizenship test and all aspects of naturalization. Although Ms. Patel immigrated from England at the age of 11, she did not become a naturalized citizen until 2002.
Ms. Patel was invited to be a speaker at her own naturalization ceremony which was one of the largest Knoxville had ever seen. She accompanied over 25 of her clients as they all become citizens of the United States. Ms. Patel boasts this to one of the proudest days of her life!
